Hello, I'm Emily, I own and operate On the Map Marketing LLC
For 20 years, I worked in marketing and communications for leading media companies including Condé Nast, Reuters, Hearst and Crain Communications. I was on the business side of media in roles that supported the advertising sales team. I focused on driving revenue and enhancing brand awareness within the advertising community.
I collaborated with a variety of distinguished advertising clients including ConAgra Foods, Canon, BNY Mellon, Procter & Gamble, and Walmart plus many advertising agencies. I gained great insights into how to best market – and more importantly sell – across a wide range of categories comprising financial, retail, packaged goods, technology, travel and health. I know how to successfully leverage online, social media, mobile, events and other marketing platforms to optimize brands.
This deep knowledge of the intersection of marketing, advertising and media is something I carried over when I launched On the Map Marketing LLC.

'ON THE MAP' FOR
The phrase "put on the map" means to make someone or something well-known. I am known for:
I've never been a natural athlete but I recently ran my first half marathon.
I create my own handmade greeting cards for family and friends and still believe in the impact of snail mail.
I love to eat cheese. A creamy brie is my favorite followed closely by a delicious cheddar.

I grew up in Marlboro, Massachusetts, went to college at Syracuse University, spent time studying abroad in London, and then moved to New York City. I currently live in the Bay Ridge neighborhood of Brooklyn.
DREAMING OF GOING
