Reuters is a global news organization. I was the Reuters Marketing Director where I oversaw B2B marketing initiatives across Reuters consumer digital product portfolio to drive global revenue growth and enhance brand awareness within the advertising industry.
Reuters was challenged by low brand awareness within the media and advertising industry. There was a need to educate potential advertising clients about Reuters offerings and capabilities. Industry awards were a platform to enhance recognition of Reuters excellence and earn extensive publicity for a low cost of entry.
I established Reuters first industry awards submission process and evolved it over five years. I managed all aspects of the pre and post submissions process for the Reuters US and UK regions including:
Persuasive writing of 60+ entries that showcased Reuters advertising programs, products
Designing accompanying materials including sizzle reels and webpages
Generating publicity for wins on social media, case studies, and to the press.
With my awards expertise, I took on larger roles in the awards industry including judging for the Effie Awards and being a co-founder of the IAA BrillIAAnce Awards.
The awards entries had a 45% win rate over five years.
